Actor Jeremy Renner in critical condition after accident
Marvel's Hawkeye remains in a critical but stable condition after a snow plow accident.
Following a snow plow accident, actor Jeremy Renner, best known for playing Hawkeye in several Marvel blockbusters, was listed in critical but stable condition, according to a statement released to US media on Sunday.
Renner was plowing snow before he suffered serious injuries, a representative told The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline.
"We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today," Renner's representative told the outlet, without specifying where the accident took place.
The representative added that Renner's family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.
Renner, 51, has been nominated for two Oscars for his roles in "The Hurt Locker" and "The Town". Additionally, he has made appearances as Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye, in a number of Marvel movies and a recent miniseries.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Renner owns property close to Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, a region close to Reno, Nevada that has been affected by winter storms.
He recently made a social media post about the severe weather in the region around Lake Tahoe, which is a well-known skiing destination and borders Nevada and California.
Renner tweeted on December 13 a photo of a car buried by snow with the caption "Lake Tahoe snowfall is no joke."
Many were quick to share their prayers and concern for Renner's health on Twitter.
