Super Mario maintains lead in box offices
"Evil Dead Rise", the Warner Bros horror movie has ranked second for this weekend: making $23.5 million in its opening week.
This weekend "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" made $58.2 million in North America maintaining its rank as the number one best-selling in North America.
The Mario movie which is now in its third week of screening ranks as 2023's best movie so far: making $434.3 million domestically and $437 million internationally.

Ranking third was MGM's war movie "Guy Ritchie's The Covenant" which made an underwhelming $6.3 million in its opening week.
In fourth place is "John Wick: Chapter 4" making $5.8 million in its fifth week.

"The Super Mario Bros. Movie" has made $377 million in global ticketing box offices during its opening weekend (from Wednesday to Sunday), making $204.6 million in domestic box offices, according to ComScore.
The movie co-produced by Illumination and Nintendo and distributed by Universal Pictures blew past expectations.
Mario overtook Frozen 2 as the best weekend opener for an animated film. It topped Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania by easily becoming the biggest opener of the year. The movie also drove the biggest IMAX opening weekend of all time, making $21.6 million globally.
