French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo passed away at his residence in Paris at the age of 88, the deceased is considered one of the most prominent figures of French cinema.

At the age of 88, famous French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo (1933-2021), one of the most prominent figures of French cinema died at his home in Paris on Monday.
Michel Godist, the lawyer and friend of the deceased, announced Belmondo's death. He detailed that Belmondo "has been very exhausted recently. He delivered his soul softly."
Belmondo, nicknamed "Bebel," has participated in 80 films, with many roles that remain engraved in the French cinematic memory, including his acting in the movie Le Guignolo, in which he appeared hanging on a raft over Venice.
The deceased, whose name was associated with the "French new wave", began his amateur career as a boxing champion at the age of 17. He proceeded to star in Breathless, the 1960 hit film by Jean-Luc Godard, which launched his career leading him to become a major figure in French cinema.
Belmondo played numerous roles in cinema, theater, and comedy, while critics generally consider that his best role was in the 1974 movie Stavisky.
According to French media, Belmondo adopted difficult roles, which had a major contribution to his success and winning multiple awards.
