Adnan Calls for General Strike and Uprising in Palestinian Prisons
Leader of the Islamic Jihad Movement Khader Adnan calls for a general strike in support of Palestinian prisoners.
Despite the re-arrest of four of the freed detainees, Khader Adnan, commander of Islamic Jihad, revealed that the occupation was "defeated," adding that the attacks on the inmates should embolden the Palestinians.
An "Intifada of Freedom for the Prisoners" is what Adnan encouraged in an interview with Al Mayadeen, adding that all Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims should support the prisoners and maintain their rage towards the occupation.
The Islamic Jihad also called on Palestinians to go for a "pilgrimage" to Jenin to support the prisoners.
The commander also emphasized the need to unite in support of the prisoners who are rekindling the revolt, adding that freedom is the duty of all Palestinians and Arabs, not only the resistance in Gaza.
Saturday morning, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) captured an additional two of the six detainees who broke out of Gilboa Prison: Zakaria al-Zubeidi and Mohammed al-Arida, making a total of 4 recaptured.
