China-Pakistan working group stresses smooth progress of projects
A China-Pakistan Economic Corridor working group holds its 9th meeting by video link.
The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Transportation Infrastructure working group held its 9th meeting on Friday, by video link.
The two sides conducted "candid exchanges" concerning completed projects and discussed plans for projects currently under construction.
The Chinese side stressed that both sides should increase their coordination on project construction and security in order to go ahead with major CPEC projects.
A statement by the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan said that the two sides had a candid exchange of views on remaining issues regarding completed projects, such as the two major China-Pakistan highways, as well as other motorways, and discussed solutions.

A review was also conducted of projects currently under construction.
Both countries have made progress in the construction of the CPEC's transport infrastructure, adding confidence to the development of the corridor.
The CPEC is a framework of regional connectivity, which will not only benefit China and Pakistan but is also expected to have a positive impact on the region as a whole.
