China’s trade with US, Russia in first quarter of 2022
In the first quarter of 2022, data shows that china’s trade with US and Russia increased compared to the same period last year.
China, which since 2014 has become the largest economy in the world in terms of GDP at purchasing power parity, consistently appears among the top five trading partners.
China's General Administration of Customs said that Russia-China trade increased by 28.7% in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same period last year, reaching $38.17 billion.
Chinese exports to Russia increased by 25.9% year-on-year to $16.44 billion during the reporting period, while deliveries from Russia to China increased by 31% to $21.73 billion.
Furthermore, Russia and China traded for $11.66 billion in March. Moscow imported $3.82 billion in Chinese goods, while Beijing imported $7.84 billion in Russian goods.
US-China trade
According to China's General Administration of Customs, trade between the United States and China increased 12.2% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2022 to $185.91 billion.
In the reporting period, Chinese exports to the United States increased 16.7% year-on-year to $138.89 billion, while deliveries from the United States to China increased 0.8% to $47.02 billion.
The value of trade between the United States and China in March was $62.53 billion. The United States imported $47.31 billion in goods from China, while China imported $15.22 billion in goods from the United States.
