Russia and Venezuela to Cooperate in the Fields of Energy and Space
Venezuelan Vice President for Economy visits Moscow and meets with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister on Friday to discuss cooperation in the fields of energy, space, transport, and medicine.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister for Economy Yury Borisov will discuss with Venezuelan Vice President Tareck El Aissami the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy and space.
A source from Borisov's office told Sputnik that a meeting between the two "will focus on energy, transport, IT, pharmaceuticals and peaceful space exploration."
Earlier, Venezuela announced that it has signed a deal to localize the production of Russian insulin and cooperate with Russian state-run tech giant Rostec to cooperate in energy.
Moscow had pledged to continue helping Caracas enhance its defense capabilities, and supply the Venezuelan army with Russian systems and military products, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in a statement.
