Three inmates die In Lebanon prison riot fire
Earlier on Friday, jail officials were informed of a planned prison breakout.
According to the Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF), a fire in a jail in the central Lebanese city of Zahle, which started on Friday when detainees set their cells on fire, killed three inmates and wounded another 16.
Earlier on Friday, jail officials were informed of a planned prison breakout. Following the failure of the attempt, other convicts set fire to their cells, resulting in a big fire and smoke that extended across the whole floor, according to the ISF.

According to the force, "Smoke poisoning led to the deaths of three people," while the 16 wounded are in a stable state in the hospital.
The ISF announced that the fire was ultimately extinguished and law enforcement arrived on the scene and ended the riot.
