At least 7 dead, 3 missing after canyon wall collapses in Brazil
At least seven people were killed and nine were injured when a rock wall collapsed on top of their motorboats at Capitolio Canyons in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.
On Saturday, a rock wall collapsed on top of tourists' motorboats below a waterfall in Sul Minas, Brazil, killing at least seven people and injuring nine more.
The incident occurred at Capitolio Canyons, a popular tourist destination in the state of Minas Gerais. Social media videos of the incident went viral, showing a tower of rocks breaking away from the cliff wall and crashing down on two boats, causing a massive wave to break over the lake.
According to Reuters, three people are still missing after others who were thought to be lost were located by phone.

The injured were transported to nearby hospitals. Many people had broken bones, and one person was in critical condition in the hospital due to head and facial injuries. According to authorities, at least 23 other people were treated for minor injuries.
Sources reported that the Brazilian Navy said it would launch an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
The region has been experiencing heavy rainfall for the past two weeks, which may have loosened the rock face.
