Four killed, including responders, shooter, in domestic abuse incident
Minnesota governor Tim Walz calls the news "horrific" and details how the officers and firefighter lost their lives responding to a call of a family in danger.
According to the state's governor, two police officers and a fireman were killed and another officer was injured while responding to a domestic situation in Burnsville, Minnesota, on Sunday.
Burnsville is approximately 15 minutes south of Minneapolis.
Governor Tim Walz responded to the news calling it "horrific". He detailed how "while responding to a call of a family in danger, two police officers and one firefighter lost their lives, and other officers were injured."
Walz expressed that his heart was with the families of those affected.
The governor also revealed that the state Department of Public Safety is "coordinating with local law enforcement to conduct an investigation."

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives arrived at the area following allegations of local police officers involved in a "domestic-related shooting," the agency stated earlier.
Burnsville Communications and Community Engagement Director Carissa Larsen told CNN on Sunday morning that there was an "active scene".
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara posted online to "keep Burnsville Police Dept in your prayers this morning."
The cops were responding to a report of domestic abuse, according to a labor union representative who represents Minnesota law enforcement and first responders.
