Michigan shooting leaves five wounded, two critically
Lansing police adds that the victims were transported to a hospital by the Fire Department and they ranged in age from 16 to 26 years old.
Local officers in Lansing, Michigan, confirmed that a shooting on Sunday left five wounded, including 2 in critical condition.
Reports of a shooting were responded to at around 1 am, the Lansing Police Department said, adding that the victims were transported to a hospital by the Fire Department, with their ages ranging from 16 to 26 years old.
Officers arrived at a large crowd, prompting police to ask for assistance from other jurisdictions. Meanwhile, several were detained, and multiple firearms were found.
This comes a month after the last shooting in Saginaw, Michigan, left a 19-year-old and a 51-year-old dead and 15 injured at a street party.
"A fight broke out between partygoers resulting in gunshots being fired. In response, others in the crowd began shooting into the crowd, striking several victims. As people fled the scene, many were injured after being struck by fleeing vehicles," the police said.
Then back in February, three were killed at Michigan State University. The campus, at 5,200 acres, is one of the largest in the United States.
