Police claimed "this is not an active shooter situation," and the initial investigation indicates that a dispute outside a large gathering led to the gunfire. More than one suspect could be related to the shooting.
According to the government, a number of agencies were enlisted to help because of the enormous throng. The inquiry is still ongoing.
Just yesterday, July 23, a shooting at the Maquoketa Caves State Park Campground was confirmed by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
According to KCRG, DCI officers responded to a report of a shooting at the campground early Friday morning and discovered three people dead.
DCI officials went on to say that one camper, 23-year-old Anthony Sherwin of Nebraska, had gone missing. Officers discovered him dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound near the park.
With shootings hitting the country hard and not sparing any state, the United States continues to suffer from violent crime and mass shootings due to its loose gun laws and supremacist grounds for such violence.
