Five people were treated for gunshot wounds and one was confirmed dead after a fight broke out and shots were fired in the Seattle suburb of Renton, Washington, the police confirmed.

According to a tweet from the Renton Police Department, police responded to a complaint just before 1 am on Saturday and discovered many victims, five of whom required medical attention. One gunshot fatality has been verified by police.

2/3 Initial investigation indicates this was a dispute outside of a large gathering/event which led to gunfire, possibly by more than one suspect. Due to the large crowd, multiple agencies were called in to assist. This is an active scene still & investigation will be ongoing.

Police claimed "this is not an active shooter situation," and the initial investigation indicates that a dispute outside a large gathering led to the gunfire. More than one suspect could be related to the shooting.

According to the government, a number of agencies were enlisted to help because of the enormous throng. The inquiry is still ongoing.

Just yesterday, July 23, a shooting at the Maquoketa Caves State Park Campground was confirmed by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.

According to KCRG, DCI officers responded to a report of a shooting at the campground early Friday morning and discovered three people dead.

DCI officials went on to say that one camper, 23-year-old Anthony Sherwin of Nebraska, had gone missing. Officers discovered him dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound near the park.

With shootings hitting the country hard and not sparing any state, the United States continues to suffer from violent crime and mass shootings due to its loose gun laws and supremacist grounds for such violence.
