Playstation exec fired after pedophilia allegation video
The employee at Sony Interactive Entertainment has been terminated after his appearance in a pedophile sting video.
A senior vice president at Sony Interactive Entertainment who has been employed since 2013 has been terminated after a viral video of him appearing in a pedophile sting operation on Youtube.
The video was posted on the channel of People v. Preds, a vigilante organization that tries to catch pedophiles and publicize the encounters.
The group impersonated a 15-year-old boy and corresponded online with George Cacioppo online, who used the alias "Jeff".
People v. Preds claim that the man they corresponded with was indeed Cacioppo who invited them over to his home. Cacioppo goes by the name Jeff on the Grindr dating site.
When they approached Cacioppo in the encounter, he could be seen returning inside his home and refusing to speak to the filmers.
A Sony representative has stated, "We are aware of the situation and the employee in question has been terminated from employment."
The People v. Preds group stated that the evidence has been submitted to the authorities.
