Fireworks lit up the skies of Sanaa on Sunday in celebration of the Mawlid (birth anniversary) of Prophet Mohammad.

Fireworks were also set off from most residential buildings, streets, squares, and homes. The Yemeni capital of Sanaa and other provinces were lit up in bright colors, with the help of the people themselves, through their wide interaction and the fireworks they set off to express their joy on this occasion.

Yemeni media reported that national parties and political and societal groups are commemorating the Prophet's birth anniversary through speeches in Sanaa.
Social media users shared footage documenting the "beautiful portrait, which gave Sanaa, now dressed in green, its own flair."
