Israeli actress Gal Gadot’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was labeled this week with a phrase condemning the killing of children, as political tensions over Gaza continue to surface in cultural spaces abroad.
The star had the expression “baby killer” written above her name, with her surname altered to “Greenstien", a nod to her family’s original name before it was Hebraicized from Greenstein to Gadot, to make it seem more Israeli.
According to local media, the graffiti appeared overnight.
Stickers left at the site included incendiary messages such as “Israeli snipers target children,” underscoring the protest’s alignment with global outrage over civilian deaths in Gaza.

Defacing the star
The act of defacing Gal Gadot’s star reflects rising anger directed at celebrities with known ties to "Israel" or its military.
Gadot, who served in the Israeli occupation forces before launching her acting career, has been a polarizing figure throughout the war on Gaza due to her past statements in support of the Israeli regime and the genocide in Gaza.
This latest vandalism comes amid a broader wave of cultural protests in the United States, where Gaza solidarity activists have targeted institutions and public figures perceived as supportive of Israeli policies.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame, typically reserved for tributes to artistic achievement, has now become a site of political expression amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
