The death toll in Gaza rose to at least 45 on Saturday following a wave of Israeli airstrikes that hit residential areas, schools, and displacement centers across the besieged Strip, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent.
Israeli warplanes destroyed three schools sheltering thousands of displaced families, as well as two residential towers, 18 apartment blocks, and several civilian government buildings.

Southwest of the city, two people were killed and others wounded when buildings near Al-Quds Hospital in Tel Al-Hawa were bombed. In Khan Younis, three civilians died and 14 were injured after an attack on the Al-Amal neighborhood. Warplanes also carried out three raids in northern Khan Younis, while Israeli military vehicles opened fire on displaced families' tents in Al-Mawasi, injuring five.
In total, more than 14 residential buildings were destroyed in western Gaza City alone on Saturday morning.
The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, condemned the strikes, saying more than one million residents of Gaza City are facing "ethnic cleansing and forced displacement in full view of the world." It described the bombing of schools, residential towers, and shelters as a crime of brutality "surpassing even the crimes of Nazis."
