'Barbaric' bombing of Gaza won't help 'Israel' reach objectives: PIJ
The deputy to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's chief affirms that the Resistance will negotiate in a manner that serves the interests of its people.
The Israeli occupation's brutal attack on Gaza will not help it achieve its war objectives, a senior official in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad said on Sunday.
"The occupation […] is stuck in the mud of Gaza," PIJ's deputy chief Mohammad al-Hindi told the Palestine Today news site, emphasizing that the "barbaric Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip" will "not secure any of the occupation’s goals."
Al-Hindi held the United States responsible for the ongoing genocidal war and the recently launched ground offensive against Rafah.

He said that "Washington’s statements are a green light for the occupation army to continue its aggression," especially the invasion of Rafah," he said.
On the negotiations, the top official said that the Resistance has shown flexibility in negotiations, pointing out that it had agreed to a phased withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from the Strip. However, he added, it was "Israel" that rejected the proposal on the basis that exiting Gaza would "leave Hamas intact".
Netanyahu trapped in 'vicious cycle'
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu's true agenda was "exposed to the world after the resistance agreed to the mediators’ proposal," he continued, affirming that the Resistance will negotiate in a manner that serves the interests of the Palestinian people.

For his part, Ezzat al-Rishq, a high-ranking official from Hamas, stated that Netanyahu and the occupation army are trapped in a "vicious cycle" by continuing a "meaningless and aimless" war on Gaza.
The Palestinian Resistance is engaging in fierce confrontations in the directions of Jabalia, al-Zaytoun neighborhood, eastern Rafah, and Netzarim, as it continues to repel the invading Israeli forces 219 days into the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
Israeli media had expressed concerns that the occupation army is "back to fighting in the north [of Gaza]" despite claiming repeatedly that it had taken control over the area.
Additionally, the Resistance increased its targeting of envelope settlements and military bases with rockets after months of decreased rocket launches.
