Disgrace a mild way to describe US reception of Netanyahu: Iran MFA
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani condemns the warm welcome Netanyahu received amid his visit to Washington to deliver a speech before US Congress.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, stated that the visit of the "criminal Israeli prime minister" to his supporters in Washington, after nine months of genocide in Gaza, has exposed the false image of Western civilization and revealed the harsh and divisive nature of US policies.
In a post on his X account on Thursday, Kanaani said Palestinian children were getting slain at the hands of the "Tel Aviv butcher" every day.
He further added that the ordinary rights of Palestinians, such as the rights to life, security, food, water, medicine, and treatment are being violated in Gaza and before everyone's eyes, while Congress and the US administration receive Netanyahu "the executioner" with applause.

Kanaani emphasized that Netanyahu’s visit has exposed decades of Western efforts to present themselves as innocent and humanitarian, instead revealing the "harsh and demonic face of American politics."
"Disgrace is a very simple word to describe this scandal," Kanaani said, adding that the banner of human rights transcended to one of the "most ridiculous banners the leaders of Europe and the US declare."
‘Arrest the child killer’: Mass anti-Netanyahu rally outside Congress
Netanyahu’s visit to the United States and his speech before Congress prompted massive demonstrations against the Israeli Prime Minister and the ongoing Israeli war of genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Protesters flocked to the area just outside the Capitol building before Netanyahu's speech, with hundreds gathering, waving banners and chanting slogans against Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden.
Similarly, police used pepper spray on pro-Palestinian protesters who gathered outside the US Capitol on Wednesday while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Congress.
The protesters were demanding the arrest of Netanyahu for committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip. Among their other demands is an end to the genocidal war in Gaza and a halt to all arms supplies to “Israel”, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in the US.
Activists even dyed multiple fountains around Capitol Hill with red and projections cast demanding the arrest of Netanyahu.
