Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the United States and the Israeli occupation have come to understand the absence of a military solution regarding Iran, while also emphasizing that the sole viable path forward is through fair diplomacy founded on mutual respect and shared interests.
During a meeting with participants of the 39th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran on Tuesday, Araghchi stated that the Israeli entity miscalculated, thinking that a surprise attack could force Iran into retreat
“They made a major strategic mistake," he asserted.
“The only possible path is fair diplomacy based on mutual respect and securing common interests. The Islamic Republic of Iran has never abandoned the negotiating table and has always been ready for honorable and fair dialogue,” Araghchi noted.
He highlighted that Iran’s enemies had counted on creating divisions, explaining that the 12-day Israeli-intigated war on the country demonstrated the absence of any distinction between Shiite and Sunni Muslims or Arab and Persian people when it comes to defending the country under the single identity of Iran.
Islamic world needs to recognize 'Israel's' threats
“They even attack people who struggle to get a small amount of food. These actions are a clear example of war crimes, beyond imagination. This regime has crossed every red line and committed every atrocity," the Iranian foreign minister stated, condemning "Israel's" use of starvation as a weapon of war in Gaza.
The top Iranian diplomat expressed regret that the Islamic world has not shown a proportionate reaction to such Israeli crimes and warned that the threat will not remain limited to Palestine but has already manifested in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran.
Araghchi further stated that the regional countries have come to understand the Israeli threat targets not just one location but the entire region and the Muslim world, adding that the Israelis seek division, weakness, and disintegration of the Islamic Ummah and are even openly reviving the idea of “Greater Israel".
The Iranian foreign minister concluded his statement by saying that the vast opportunities and capacities of the Islamic world must be used effectively, explaining that a 1.5-billion-strong Muslim Ummah, if united, possesses the ability to activate immense potential, which would contribute to its growth, progress, and elevation of status.
