'Israel' admits to 84 soldiers killed since Gaza invasion
The IOF reveals that more of its soldiers, including the deputy commander of a company, were killed during the invasion of Gaza
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have announced the death toll of its forces has risen to 84 since their invasion of Gaza began, bringing the total death toll since October 7 to 408 Israeli soldiers.
The IOF revealed that a deputy company commander in the 53rd Battalion was and an IOF soldier in the patrol company in the 6261st Battalion, affiliated with the 261st Brigade, were both killed in battles in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday.
According to a Channel 13 correspondent, despite the brutal assault on the strip, Palestinian resistance has confronted steadfastly the raids of the IOF, especially using anti-tank and anti-armor munitions against the Israeli forces.
Early on Monday morning, the Israeli Occupation Forces admitted that three soldiers were killed during confrontations with the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza.
This comes shortly after the Israeli army announced the death of a commander of the Gaza Division's Southern Brigade, who was reportedly killed during confrontations on October 7, adding that his body was still held in Gaza.
The IOF spokesperson specified that the three soldiers were: a reserve officer from Brigade 55, the head of the intelligence reserves from Brigade 401, and a corporal, adding that a fourth soldier from Brigade 401 sustained serious injuries during battles in the north.
Although the IOF did not disclose its total losses in Gaza, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported days ago that it received a letter with the total number of those killed in Israeli occupation forces in confrontations with the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.
Haaretz reported that the IOF acknowledged the death of nearly 1,000 soldiers since the war on Gaza began after it refused to provide any data regarding the total numbers of those killed and wounded while also asking hospitals to remain confidential.
Al-Qassam brigades claim 8 Israeli soldiers killed on Sunday
Intense confrontations took place on Sunday between the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza and the Israeli invading forces along the Deir al-Balah axis in the central part of the Strip, as fighters continued to thwart Israeli plans to separate northern Gaza from its southern region, as reported by Al Mayadeen's correspondent.
Israeli tanks remain positioned on Salah al-Din Street, our correspondent added, emphasizing that there is no confirmed ground incursion in southern Gaza, despite reports from Israeli media suggesting otherwise.
Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the killing of eight Israeli soldiers in an IED ambush targeting an Israeli infantry unit in northeastern Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.
Furthermore, the Brigades claimed responsibility for targeting an Israeli D9 bulldozer with a Tandem shell and shelling a gathering of Israeli soldiers with heavy mortars, also in northeastern Khan Younis. An Israeli tank and an armored personnel carrier were targeted in the same area with al-Yassin 105 shells, where Israeli forces were attempting to advance.
