'Israel' admits Iran strike hit military bases, tries to downplay it
Numerous videos have shown Iran's missiles striking deep within occupied Palestinian territories, with many of the impacts taking place in military zones.
The Israeli occupation was hit by an unprecedented attack from Iran late Tuesday night, with dozens of missiles hitting their designated target and reports indicating that over 400 missiles and projectiles had been launched from Iran toward the occupied Palestinian territories.
While the Israeli occupation forces have admitted to damage impacting several key Air Force bases, officials were quick to assert that no aircraft were hit and that the attack had not affected any military operations, contrary to what much of the footage circulated online showed.
According to a CNN analysis of geolocated videos, at least three main targets were hit: the Mossad headquarters in Tel Aviv, Nevatim Air Base in southern occupied Palestine, and Tel Nof Air Base, located around 22 km south of Tel Aviv.

Footage shows missiles landing near the Mossad HQ in Tel Aviv’s Glilot neighborhood, a densely populated area. Additional video evidence captured rockets hitting Nevatim and Tel Nof bases, with a significant number of impacts at both locations.

While Israeli media is acknowledging the attacks, Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the Israeli occupation forces were downplaying the extent of the damage.
"No aircraft were damaged," an Israeli military spokesperson told Ynet, adding that the Israeli occupation's Iron Dome and Hetz systems, along with the dispersion of military assets, were effective.
Despite these claims, the scale of the missile barrage and the hits on major military installations mark a dramatic escalation on Iran's end amid increasing Israeli criminality.
Iran had previously targeted Israeli military facilities, with the last significant strike occurring on April 13. The Israeli occupation forces were quick to underreport the damages and claim that the attack had been thwarted "successfully".
The Guardian is confused
The Guardian, meanwhile, addressed the Iranian retaliatory strike, underlining that the Israeli occupation's major airbases of Nevatim and Tel Nof were hit directly, but claiming that the damage is minimal, citing the Israeli occupation forces as their source.
While acknowledging that the Israeli airbases were hit, it said videos "suggested" that "some" missiles detonated during the attack.
The Guardian then went on to point out how the Israeli occupation and its allies painted the attack as a "failure", but also said that regardless of the number of missiles that hit their targets out of the dozens launched by Iran, the fact that such a number could hit their targets and bypass Israeli air defense systems frightens the Israeli occupation.
The Israeli military leadership is deeply concerned that a large-scale ballistic and cruise missile attack carried out by Iran or jointly by Iran and its regional allies would overwhelm its air defense systems, letting the rockets pass through into the occupied Palestinian territories and hitting whichever targets they were meant to.
Again, The Guardian said the damage dealt by Iran was "relatively little", but it stressed that Iran saying it would target airbases and hitting them would send shockwaves through the Israeli entity.
Moreover, Israeli newspaper Haaretz said the Israeli occupation forces had declined to reveal the rate of interception in order to avoid "giving Iran and Hezbollah information that will help them learn lessons," putting the interception rate at "high".
Israeli bases inoperable
Sources from the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah confirmed to Al Mayadeen that the Nevatim, Hatzerim, and Ramon air bases were rendered inoperable due to the massive ballistic missile strikes launched by Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) on Tuesday night.
In detail, the Nevatim base houses the F-35 fighter jets, and the Hatzerim base houses the F-15 fighter jets used to assassinate martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. The IRGC affirmed that the latter was targeted in response to the assassination of Hezbollah's martyred leader.
Additionally, at least 90% of Iran's ballistic missiles and projectiles launched from its first wave toward occupied Palestinian territories struck their targets, according to the IRGC's second statement.
Footage was also released from some of the missile launching platforms used in the operation on Tuesday, which came in response to the assassinations of Palestinian Resistance leader martyr Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader martyr Sayyed Nasrallah, and IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan.
