'Israel' bombs al-Bureij and Rafah, kills, injures Palestinians
On the 241st day of the Gaza genocide, "Israel" carries out its onslaught, targeting al-Bureij camp and Rafah heavily.
Three Palestinians were killed and several others were injured after an Israeli warplane targeted a house belonging to the Ghanem family in al-Bureij camp's Block 10, central Gaza, in the early hours of Tuesday.
Israeli occupation forces also bombed four residential towers in the al-Bureij refugee camp, targeting the al-Magharbeh residential tower and the al-Ahlam tower, injuring five Palestinians. They also bombed the Hamad Block 9 tower and the al-Quds Block 7 tower in the camp.
Israeli tanks heavily fired toward Palestinian houses around the University College of Applied Sciences in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City, and toward the adjacent Sabra area, as occupation warplanes and reconnaissance aircraft hovered in the region.
Four martyrs were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the area of Khirbet al-Adas north of Rafah, while three others were killed in a second strike targeting a house in the Saudi neighborhood west of the province.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that Israeli warboats also fired heavily at Gaza's coast, while its artillery shelling targeted the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
'Israel' destroys 72% of residential buildings in northern Gaza
A Palestinian official in Gaza reported on Sunday that approximately 50,000 housing units have been demolished by Israeli occupation forces during their nearly eight-month-long aggressive campaign in the northern region of the territory.
The chairman of the Emergency Committee for northern Gaza municipalities emphasized that along with the destruction of homes, vital infrastructure, such as sewage networks and roads, has been extensively damaged across most municipalities in northern Gaza. Additionally, the official mentioned the destruction of 35 water wells, schools, and UNRWA facilities, highlighting the imminent risk of famine in the northern area of Gaza.
The official also announced that the Jabalia refugee camp and Beit Hanoun, both located in northern Gaza, have been designated as "disaster zones" due to the devastating destruction inflicted by the Israeli aggressive war, which the official characterized as genocidal.
Abdallah al-Dardari, the UN assistant secretary-general and director of the UN Development Program's regional office for the Arab states, stated that the Israeli aggression has resulted in the complete or partial destruction of 72 percent of Gaza's residential buildings.
