'Israel' committing ‘domicide’ in Lebanon: UN rapporteur
The Israeli occupation claims to be targeting the so-called "headquarters" and "command centers" of the Lebanese Resistance to destroy residential buildings and civilian areas in the Southern Suburb of Beirut.

The Israeli occupation is committing "domicide" in Lebanon by indiscriminately destroying civilian structures, according to the United Nations expert on the right to adequate housing.
Balakrishnan Rajagopal decried the Israeli regime's renewed airstrikes on residential structures in Beirut's southern suburbs in a post on X.
Official estimates show that the horrific bombs killed at least 8 individuals and wounded many more. However, the exact number of casualties is unknown since hundreds of people remain under the rubble.
"Erasing entire residential blocks is neither precise, proportional - and since no one knows if the target was plausibly a military one - likely to be unnecessary," Rajagopal pointed out.
The Israeli occupation again claims to be targeting the "headquarters" and "command centers" of the Lebanese Resistance - Hezbollah, but the movement denied the allegations.

Rajagopal stated that the Israeli regime destroys residential structures in Lebanon "with no limits."
“IHL (international humanitarian law) doesn’t exist. Jus in bello is a joke. ESC (economic, social and cultural) rights can be violated with total impunity. And global south is fair game at any time,” he stated, adding that "this is the world we live in."
After displacing tens of thousands of civilians from South Lebanon, "Israel" relentlessly bombed the Southern Suburb of Beirut.
This comes as the Israeli occupation escalated its widespread aggression against Lebanon, launching indiscriminate attacks on multiple regions and villages in the Bekaa Valley, the South, and Mount Lebanon, following a night of intense shelling that reverberated through the Southern Suburb of Beirut.
In the latest wave of attacks, the occupation conducted a series of raids targeting Baalbek and its surrounding areas, as well as the vicinity of Hermel, according to reports from Al Mayadeen's correspondent in northern Bekaa.
"Israel" launched massive strikes on Friday, targeting residential neighborhoods in the Southern Suburb of Beirut.
Six buildings were razed to the ground as a result of the Israeli aggression, as Israeli media reported that 2,000 tons of explosives were dropped on the neighborhood of Haret Hreik in the assault.
The IOF announced that the goal of the attack was the assassination of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Israeli Army Radio pointed out that F-35 aircraft carried out the airstrikes using bunker-buster bombs.
