'Israel' continues genocide in Gaza, deliberately causes health crisis
The invading Israeli occupation forces are confronted by the Resistance Brigades in southern Rafah while they simultaneously continue their genocide against the rest of the Gaza Strip through air and sea offenses.
The Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip has entered its 231st day, exacerbating a severe humanitarian crisis as the occupation forces continue to bombard all vital aspects of life in the area and maintain the closure of land crossings as part of their blockade policy.
Ongoing health crisis
In this context, the medical director of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza stated that a health catastrophe would occur if the hospital ceased operations due to a lack of fuel.
In a press conference held within the hospital premises, he explained that the fuel supplies being delivered amount to only one-fifth of the hospital's needs.
"We need 50,000 liters of fuel in the coming hours to avoid a health disaster," he added.
Deliberate targeting of the Health System
According to the latest figures from the Government Media Office in Gaza, as of early Friday morning, Israeli bombardment has rendered 33 hospitals and 55 health centers inoperative since the beginning of the war.
The occupation forces have targeted 160 health institutions and 130 ambulances. The aggression has resulted in the deaths of 493 medical staff members and the discovery of seven mass graves created by the occupation within hospital grounds, from which 520 bodies have been retrieved.
Over the 230 days of war, the occupation has committed 3,191 massacres. The total death toll has reached 35,800, including 15,239 children and 10,093 women, with 80,200 wounded and 10,000 still missing.
Continuous Bombing
Regarding the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Palestinians across the Gaza Strip, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported 24 deaths in central Gaza over the past 24 hours due to the occupation's shelling. The artillery bombardment targeted the town of Juhr al-Dik in northeastern central Gaza.
Additionally, five people were killed and others injured in a strike on an apartment belonging to the Ayubi family in the al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City. The occupation also launched aerial and artillery attacks on the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City.
Moreover, the Israeli occupation's naval forces fired shells at the coast of Gaza City, causing a massive fire in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, coinciding with continuous artillery shelling.
In Rafah, southern Gaza, the occupation forces carried out a series of airstrikes in the eastern part of the city along with artillery bombardments, targeting several homes in central and eastern Rafah.
The correspondent noted that "the occupation targets anyone beyond the Kar intersection towards the east," reporting the death of one person and injuries to others in a strike on a vehicle at the Kar intersection. Southern areas of Rafah, thus, continue to face intense gunfire and fierce confrontations between Resistance Brigades and the Israeli occupation forces.
75% of Gaza's population forcibly displaced by 'Israel': UNRWA
On Thursday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported that "Israel" has forcibly displaced 75% of the Gaza population since October, with many individuals being displaced multiple times, up to four or five instances.
"For thousands of Palestinian families, there is nowhere left to go: military operations & bombardments pose a continuous threat, and buildings have been turned to rubble. Nowhere is safe in Gaza," the UN agency said in a post on X.

Concurrent Israeli attacks on Gaza's southern and northern borders have triggered a fresh wave of mass displacement, forcing hundreds of thousands to flee their homes amid severely limiting aid access.
Beginning May 9, "Israel" initiated a new phase of forced displacement, instructing residents of Rafah to evacuate the city. As of Tuesday, the UN reported that over 900,000 individuals from Rafah have been displaced.
UNRWA has noted a significant surge in occupancy at its facilities in Khan Younis, which serve as shelters for forcibly displaced Palestinians, with a 35 percent increase since May 6.
