An ongoing attack on Gaza's civil administration
On May 20, The Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza condemned the Israeli assassination of the director of police for central Gaza, who was killed as part of the occupation's systemic killings of police forces in the Strip, to destabilize security and disrupt aid organizations and distribution.
the ministry said the occupation army assassinated Colonel Zaher al-Houli and his escort while they were conducting their police duty.
In March, the Israeli occupation assassinated Brigadier General Fayeq al-Mabhouh, who had been working with several local clans and UNRWA to coordinate aid entries into the besieged Gaza Strip.
The Gaza Media Office pointed out that al-Mabhouh was working purely under the civilian humanitarian framework, and he should have been protected instead of being targeted as per international law.
It explained that his assassination "further proves the occupation's determination to incite chaos, starvation, and preventing civilians from attaining aid and nutrition."
As of today, on the 230th day of the Israeli genocide in Gaza, 35,800 Palestinians have been killed and 80,011 others have been injured, the daily report by the Health Ministry in Gaza revealed.
As the Israeli occupation continues the onslaught in the Gaza Strip, its forces committed nine massacres against Palestinians in the last 24 hours, killing 91 martyrs and injuring 21 civilians, who were later transported to several hospitals across the Strip.
Thousands of victims are still stuck beneath the rubble, as rescue crews and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.
