The center that used to provide care for the visually disabled and recreational activities for children is now mere blocks on the ground.

The UN Palestinian Refugee Agency UNRWA confirmed on Thursday that its rehabilitation center for the visually impaired in Gaza has been reduced to rubble by "Israel" after it targeted the center from February 7 to 10 by clearing its premises and setting fire to rooms.

"Nothing remains of UNRWA's Rehabilitation Centre for Visually Impaired. This center was available to all visually impaired children across the Gaza Strip & provided braille machines, canes, visual aids + access to recreational activities including arts, sports & music," the organization posted on X.

This comes a day after UNRWA announced that it would be unable to continue its operations in the Gaza Strip if "Israel" conducts its planned attack in Rafah, warned its head, Philippe Lazzarini.

Lazzarini told RTE, an Irish media outlet, that he did not think it is possible to continue operations since the "entire logistics of the United Nations and the international aid community is in Rafah."

The Israeli aggression on Gaza has already affected 84% of health facilities in the besieged Gaza Strip, UNRWA said last week.

''Due to continued bombardment and access restrictions, only 4 out of 22 UNRWA health facilities are still operational,'' the UN agency posted in a statement on X.

It is worth noting that "Israel" accused 12 UNRWA members of being affiliated with the October 7 operation conducted by the Palestinian Resistance. As a result,  the UK, the US, and 14 other countries have opted to defund the organization, primarily led by the United States, prior to any investigation and without any proof provided.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli occupation tightened its siege on the Nasser Medical Complex and heavily targeted its vicinity, the spokesperson for the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qudra, confirmed, highlighting the grave risk threatening thousands of people inside the health facility.

Al-Qudra stressed that the Israeli occupation is putting the lives of 300 medical personnel, 450 injured Palestinians, and 10,000 displaced people, who lack any source of nutrition, in immediate danger amid a severe shortage of anesthetic materials, intensive care, and surgical procedures.
