Israeli forces have killed 54 Palestinians since dawn today, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported, with 30 of those fatalities occurring in Gaza City.
Artillery units continued to shell the center of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip on Friday.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent added that an Israeli strike on a group of civilians near the Abu Omara supermarket in Block 2 of the Nuseirat refugee camp killed two and wounded several others.
Additionally, our correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes struck a home near the al-Usra pharmacy on Al-Nafaq Street in northern Gaza City.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Health Ministry reported that in 24 hours, hospitals have received 69 fatalities and 422 people wounded amid the ongoing assaults, with many more victims still believed to be trapped under rubble or lying in the streets beyond the reach of ambulances and civil defense teams.
According to the Ministry, this brings the total number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, as of September 5, 2025, to 34,300, with more than 77,200 people injured, while the death toll since the start of the most recent ground operation on March 18, 2025, has now reached 11,768, in additiont to nearly 50,000 injuries.
'Israel' targets high-rise buildings in Gaza City
Meanwhile, in an escalation of its annihilation of Gaza, Israeli warplanes bombed the Mushtaha Tower at the Ansar roundabout in western Gaza City, wounding several people who were transported from the scene by ambulance.
The building's administration confirmed that "Israel's" claims are "lies", emphasizing that the tower houses only displaced civilians and contains no military infrastructure. Al Mayadeen's correspondent also reported that the Israeli military has threatened to bomb more high-rise towers and buildings in and around Gaza City.
Mahmoud Basal, the spokesperson for the Gaza Civil Defense, stated that the targeting of high-rises and buildings "is not only striking stone, but a policy of forcibly displacing civilians," emphasizing that entire families are being forced out without shelter amid a lack of safe spaces.
"This danger not only threatens people's lives, but also strips them of their right to exist and live with dignity," Basal added, calling on the world "to act immediately to stop this organized crime."
