Israeli occupation forces have killed a young Palestinian man during a raid on the al-Fara’a refugee camp in the northwestern occupied West Bank, as the ceasefire in Gaza, which "Israel" has repeatedly violated, brings little relief to Palestinians throughout the occupied territories.

According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, 26-year-old Abdel Rahman Darawsha succumbed to critical injuries sustained after being shot by Israeli troops who stormed the refugee camp south of Tubas and opened live fire.

Eyewitnesses said Israeli forces deployed infantry units at the entrance of the camp and fired directly at residents. Darawsha was evacuated by a Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) ambulance to Tubas Governmental Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Israeli forces injure others in continued raids

Israeli forces also raided the town of al-Ram, northeast of al-Quds, where they opened fire on civilians. One Palestinian man was shot in the leg and transported to the Palestine Medical Complex for treatment.

Raids on West Bank towns and refugee camps have become a near-daily occurrence, as Israeli aggression against Palestinians continues unabated despite international condemnation.

Since October 2023, Israeli occupation forces have intensified operations across the West Bank. Palestinian sources report that over 1,066 Palestinians have been killed and 10,300 others injured during this period.

In October alone, the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission documented 766 attacks by Israeli forces and settlers targeting Palestinians, their homes, property, and means of livelihood across the West Bank.

ICJ ruling on Israeli settlements goes unheeded

In July 2024, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled that "Israel's" ongoing occupation of historic Palestine violated international law. The court called for the dismantling of all settlements in the West Bank and East al-Quds.

Despite the ruling, no action has been taken, and "Israel" continues to expand settlements and intensify military operations in defiance of international law.
