'Israel' launches aggression on Lebanon, Hezbollah retaliates
The Israeli occupation launches a wide and intense attack on numerous areas in southern Lebanon, and the Resistance responds with large barrages of missiles and drones.
Early Sunday morning, the Israeli occupation launched a wide-scale assault on several areas in southern Lebanon, including the unprecedented targeting of villages, as reported by Al Mayadeen's correspondent.
The correspondent noted that the intense Israeli occupation's airstrikes on southern Lebanon lasted approximately 20 minutes.
In response, multiple rounds of missiles were launched from Lebanon just minutes after the aggression ended, targeting the al-Jalil Panhandle in northern occupied Palestine. Over 70 missiles were fired, coinciding with aerial incursions from various locations.
Additionally, missiles and drones were launched towards western al-Jalil in retaliation for the Israeli attack on southern Lebanon.
Israeli media reported that the Israeli security cabinet was set to convene for an emergency meeting at 7 am today, Sunday.
The media also confirmed that sirens have been continuously sounding in northern settlements, with authorities urging settlers in the occupied Syrian Golan and al-Jalil regions to remain near secure and fortified locations.
Residents in northern settlements have been advised to minimize movement, avoid gatherings, and stay away from orchards.
Meanwhile, flights to and from Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv have been canceled.
As a result of Hezbollah's retaliation, reports indicate that Akka is facing a power outage, with missiles reportedly reaching the city. The Red Star of David has raised its alert level to the maximum in response to the ongoing situation.
