Israeli occupation forces launched a series of violent airstrikes against Lebanon on Thursday, marking a serious escalation and a continued violation of the ceasefire declaration that has been in place since November 27, 2024.
In the first wave, the Israeli occupation launched a drone strike on the al-Dabsheh hill on the outskirts of the town of Kfar Tibnit, followed by another drone strike on the Kawthariya al-Siyyed-al-Sharqiya main road.
The IOF also targeted the Bnaafoul village in the Saida District with two airstrikes.
In the same wave, Israeli occupation warplanes targeted the town of Shmestar in the Bekaa, east Lebanon, killing one citizen.
A few hours later, the Israeli occupation then carried out a second wave of airstrikes targeting the outskirts of the town of Ansar in South Lebanon, which many described as one of the most violent since the ceasefire.

In yet another violation, an Israeli drone dropped sonic bombs on three separate occasions off the coast of Ras Naqoura.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Health issued an initial casualty report stating that Israeli enemy raids on southern Lebanon have wounded six citizens, with one injured in Banaafoul and six injured in Ansar.
Israeli violations continued with an Israeli aircraft dropping a bomb on the outskirts of the southern town of Blida and Israeli forces simultaneously firing machine-gun bursts toward the outskirts of Aytaroun, also in the south, as local residents were heading to their olive groves for harvesting.
Yesterday, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that an Israeli drone fired two missiles at the road between Sidiqin and Kafra in southern Lebanon, with the Lebanese National News Agency and the Health Ministry confirming that this strike hit an express van in the al-Asi area and injured at least one person.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemns the airstrikes
President Joseph Aoun condemned the Israeli attacks on several southern towns, asserting that this repeated aggression represents a systematic policy to destroy productive structures, obstruct economic recovery, and undermine national stability under false security pretexts.
He stated that this escalatory behavior constitutes a grave violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and the 2024 ceasefire agreement.
Furthermore, he confirmed that "Israel" continues to breach its international commitments and use force outside any legitimate framework or international mandate, which necessitates a firm international stance to put an end to these violations.
