Mohammad Raad, head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc in Lebanon’s Parliament, stated that Iran’s victory means that “Israel" can no longer be a deterrent force in the region, emphasizing, "We must all recognize this historic shift," during a rally in Beirut celebrating Iran's victory.
MP Mohammad Raad stressed that as "Israel's" deterrence collapsed under Iranian missile fire, "Iran has now been established as a regional deterrent power, whether anyone likes it or not."
The Lebanese MP asserted that Iran "fell victim to a diplomatic conspiracy orchestrated by the international dealmaker, only to face a treacherous assault that violated all norms and conventions."
Raad noted that Iran "emerged from a popular will unmatched in modern history," highlighting that "the Iranian people demanded two things: their country's independence and the preservation of the regime they freely chose."
Leadership and people key to victory
The Lebanese Parliament member asserted that the primary reason for Iran's victory was "the presence of a divinely-inspired leader, courageous and wise," alongside the other critical factor,w which was "the Iranian people, who shouldered responsibility not just at the national level, but on a human level as well."
He continued, "Iranians rallied together as a single solid structure behind their leadership to protect their nation, identity, and sovereign rights."
Analyzing the new strategic landscape following Iran's victory, Raad stated, "Iran's triumph proves Israel is no longer a deterrent force in this region whatsoever," while noting that "the Israeli entity should learn from what happened; its international patron abandoned it at critical moments."
The reality in Lebanon
Regarding Lebanon's domestic situation, Raad noted that while the conflict had inspired significant public solidarity, it failed to produce complete national unity, highlighting that some groups in Lebanon were calling for demands identical to those of "Israel", doing so openly and without reservation.
“This country can never be under the protection of the Zionist enemy or its sponsors, but by its own people," highlighting the true value of martyred Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
Iran must remain vigilant
Raad highlighted recent statements by an Israeli official necessitate vigilance as they act as an important reminder that the war remains unresolved, urging Tehran to maintain maximum alert against the enemy's potential maneuvers.
He concluded by addressing Tehran, saying, "We are honored to have the Islamic Republic as our friend and ally, sharing the same vision and stance," adding, "We extend our hand in peace, committed to neither aggression nor submission."
