On Tuesday, Israeli warplanes launched two airstrikes near the Lebanese capital, Beirut, targeting the Silver Tower residential building near Al-Zahraa Hospital in the first strike, while targeting an apartment inside a building near the Al-Gondoline roundabout, close to the Kuwaiti embassy in Beirut.
Since September 23, Israeli occupation forces have launched a massive aggression on Lebanon, conducting extensive airstrikes across the country, especially its South and East, as well as the Southern Suburb of the capital Beirut, where Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was assassinated.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health's Emergency Response Center, Israeli attacks on Lebanon since last October have killed 1,873 people and wounded 9,134.
On Monday, UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell expressed concern about the massacre of children in recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
"I am deeply concerned by the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation in Lebanon. Over the last week, at least 80 children have reportedly been killed in attacks, while hundreds more have been injured," Russell said on X.
She said that the number of people internally displaced by the violence has spiked to more than one million, including over 300,000 children, citing government reports.
"Thousands of children and families are now living in the streets or in shelters; many having fled their homes without essential supplies and belongings. Humanitarian conditions are growing worse by the hour," Russell pointed out.
