'Israel' suffered $3bln in losses from Iran’s attack on refinery
Besides the financial toll, Iran’s strike on the Haifa refinery disrupted fuel supply in Israeli-occupied cities and intensified public unrest amid ongoing war fallout.

Initial estimates by insurance firms and economic experts suggest that losses inflicted on "Israel" from Iran's strike last month on its largest oil refinery could reach $3 billion, according to a Sunday report by the Fars news agency.
The Iranian attack, which targeted the refinery in the occupied city of Haifa on June 17, caused between $1.5 billion and $2 billion in damage to its physical infrastructure.
The refinery, with a pre-attack processing capacity of 197,000 barrels per day, is expected to remain offline until at least October. This shutdown is projected to cost "Israel" approximately $450 million in lost monthly revenues.
The closure has led to a notable increase in fuel prices across Israeli-controlled territories. Additionally, the surge in transportation and manufacturing costs has intensified economic pressures, while power outages have become more frequent, further fueling public dissatisfaction.
'Israel' faces import pressure as Isdud refinery undergoes repairs
The Israeli authorities are now forced to increase their imports of oil products to meet domestic demand, particularly as their other key refinery, located in Isdud, is undergoing repairs. This dependency on imports is expected to further strain "Israel's" finances amid the broader economic impact of the war with Iran.
The refinery strike came in direct response to Israeli attacks on Iranian economic infrastructure, including a major gas processing facility in southern Iran and two fuel storage sites in Tehran. Iranian media and regional reports have highlighted widespread devastation in Tel Aviv and Haifa from the retaliatory strikes, despite efforts by the regime to conceal the extent of the damage.
Iran ended its retaliation on June 24 as the US and "Israel" scrambled for a ceasefire that concluded the 12-day confrontation between Tehran and "Tel Aviv."
'Israel' concealed damage inflicted by Iran
In a report on Saturday, the Israeli occupation reportedly concealed the extent of damage inflicted by Iranian missile strikes on five of its military facilities during the recent 12-day war, according to a report published by The Telegraph, citing radar satellite data from researchers at Oregon State University.
The data suggests that six Iranian missiles successfully hit military targets across the northern, central, and southern regions of occupied Palestine, including the Tel Nof air base, a logistics site, and an intelligence center.
The report underscores the growing challenges faced by the Israeli occupation’s air defense systems, which, while allegedly intercepting most incoming missiles, appeared to be increasingly penetrable during the initial eight days of the exchange.
According to The Telegraph, strict military censorship laws issued by the Israeli regime contributed to the suppression of information regarding the strikes and the extent of the damage.
