'Israel' to be punished for Lebanon electronic attacks: Pezeshkian
The Iranian President has expressed his deep condolences to the Lebanese people in response to the recent mass casualties caused by what he described as a "mass assassination" perpetrated by "Israel".
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian extended his condolences to the Lebanese people over the martyrdom of tens of them and the injuries sustained by thousands, in what he termed a "mass assassination" carried out by the "criminal Zionist regime."
He affirmed that "Israel" would "definitely be punished justly."
In a message posted on his X account on Thursday, President Pezeshkian stated that "the Zionist enemy will be punished justly."

He added, “We express our deepest condolences and sympathies to the dear people of Lebanon for the martyrdom and injury of thousands of Lebanese citizens as a result of treacherous mass terror carried out by the terrorist regime of Israel by exploding communication devices (pagers) without distinguishing between civilians and others.”
The president condemned this "heinous crime" targeting the Lebanese people and emphasized Iran's support for the Lebanese government and its citizens. He called on international organizations to "fulfill their responsibility over the tragic incident" and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the blasts.
Shame on the West for supporting Israeli crimes, terrorism: Pezeshkian
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday said that Western countries should feel "shame" for supporting the crimes of the Israeli regime.
The comments come in the aftermath of a massive terrorist attack on communication devices in Lebanon, where it was revealed that pagers shipped five months ago had been rigged with explosives.
"Western countries and the Americans... fully support the crimes, killings and indiscriminate assassinations of the Zionist regime," Pezeshkian said in a statement, adding that the explosions should bring them "shame".

According to the Lebanese Health Ministry, the latest death toll of the first terrorist attack has risen to 12 martyrs, while the total number of injured is estimated to be between 2,700 and 2,800, with 1,850 in Beirut and its southern suburbs, 750 in the south, and 150 in the Bekaa region.
Security sources informed Al Mayadeen earlier in the day that the pagers bypass all scanning equipment available, even in countries and airports around the world, as the explosive material is undetectable.
It is worth noting that fourteen citizens have been killed and over 450 others were injured in "Israel's" second terror attack on Lebanon, this time targeting two-way radios, commonly known as walkie-talkies.
On Wednesday afternoon, a series of explosions were reported across Beirut, South Lebanon, and Bekaa. Cars, motorbikes, stores, and homes across the country caught fire amid the impact of the blasts, resulting in an influx of casualties.
The Israeli terror attacks on Tuesday and Wednesday came as the occupation forces bombed the Lebanese South, particularly al-Jebbain, Shamaa, Majdal Zoun, Kfar Kila, Kfar Chouba, Houla, and al-Taybeh.
