The Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran Sayyed Ali Khamenei addressed thousands of Basij members at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah on Monday morning, on the occasion of the Mobilization Forces Week, stressing that Basij is not intimidated by the propaganda of the US and the Zionist entity.

In his speech, the Leader emphasized that the spirit of Basij and the Resistance front would prevail over the policies of their enemies. He described Basij as a school and an ideology, asserting that "faith in God and self-confidence are two pillars of Basij."

Sayyed Khamenei praised the Divine assistance that has supported Iran since the Islamic Revolution, noting that the late Imam Khomeini established Basij as a defense against threats. He pointed out that Basij has played a key role in both safeguarding Iran and contributing to its development.

Iran's leader also asserted that Basij is unshaken by US and Israeli propaganda, highlighting that several prominent Iranian scientists, who were assassinated by "Israel", were Basij members. He declared, "Basij will definitely destroy the Zionist regime," stressing the importance of strengthening, expanding, and maintaining Basij's preparedness.

Regarding US actions in the region, the Iranian Leader criticized the US' approach of either forcing submission or causing chaos, urging Basij to counter this duality of dictatorship and anarchy.

In reference to the ongoing tensions in the West Asian region, Sayyed Khamenei declared, "The enemy has not won in Gaza and Lebanon and will never win."

Finally, he commented on the recent ICC arrest warrants for the Israeli prime minister and former security minister, stating, "Netanyahu should be handed a death sentence."

ICC issues arrest warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant over war crimes 

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued on Thursday arrest warrants for Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Security Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of "crimes against humanity and war crimes."

This marks a significant escalation in legal actions concerning the war on Gaza, obliging the ICC’s 124 member states to detain Netanyahu and Gallant should they enter their territory.

The court announced its unanimous rejection of "Israel's" appeal challenging the ICC’s jurisdiction. 

The ICC stated that there are "reasonable grounds" to believe Netanyahu and Gallant “bear criminal responsibility for the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare."

It also indicated that they "intentionally and knowingly deprived" Gaza’s civilian population of essential resources, including food, water, medical supplies, and fuel.
