US President Donald Trump's plan to forcibly displace Gaza's residents "is a continuation of the colonial scheme to erase Palestine. It violates all international laws and is completely unacceptable," Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday.
During his meeting with a Hamas delegation, Araghchi said the resilience and perseverance of the Palestinian people in the face of unprecedented crimes and genocide, perpetrated by "Israel", will be "engraved in history."
He also praised the scenes of Gazans returning to their lands, saying they reflected strength. "Despite all the horrifying crimes Israel committed, it eventually was forced to negotiate with the [Hamas] movement, the same movement it sought to destroy," he added.
Lastly, Araghchi reiterated that the Israeli occupation failed to achieve any of its objectives, whereas the Palestinian Resistance imposed its demands through the ceasefire agreement.
Sayyed Khamenei receives senior Hamas delegation, praises Resistance
Earlier, Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei praised the Palestinian Resistance during a meeting with a Hamas delegation, stating that they had defeated the Israeli occupation and the United States in the war on Gaza. He also hailed the ceasefire agreement as a "great achievement."
Sayyed Khamenei received Hamas Shura Council chairman Mohammad Ismail Darwish, as well as the Resistance group's acting leader Khalil al-Hayya and other members of the group's political bureau in Tehran on Saturday.
Sayyed Khamenei called on the Palestinian Resistance to persevere, stressing it is "necessary to plan for cultural works and continue the current path of PR works alongside military affairs and the reconstruction of Gaza."
The leader described faith as the main "asymmetric weapon" of the Resistance front against the enemy, adding, "It is because of this faith that the Islamic Republic and the Resistance front do not feel weak against the enemies."
Hamas also previously emphasized that "the Resistance project is advancing across the region," praising the historic role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting the Palestinian people and their Resistance, as well as the support fronts in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq.
