'Still far from victory' in Gaza: IOF officers
A hundred Israeli army officers have contradicted several senior officials who claim that victory in the Gaza Strip is imminent, despite the ongoing genocide being perpetrated.
The Israeli occupation army is "still far from victory" in its ongoing ten-month genocide in Gaza, dozens of occupation officers said in a letter on Sunday, signed by around 100 IOF officials.
“In the past few days, we have been astonished by repeated statements from senior army officials that victory is within reach and it is possible to move to the stage of pinpoint raids,” the letter addressed to Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi read.
“We, who came from the field, know very well that the situation is still far from victory," the occupation officers asserted, highlighting the Palestinian Resistance's cross-border capabilities including UAVs, explosive drones, and mortars.
“This is not what victory looks like!” These accounts contradict statements by Israeli officials, such as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed "victory is within reach" during an interview with ABC News in February.
The occupation regime has killed more than 39,800 Palestinians during its genocide in the Gaza Strip, an ongoing occurrence despite the International Court of Justice's (ICJ) order for "Israel" to halt its military operations in the city of Rafah.
'Israel' massacres over 100 Palestinians performing morning prayers
Regardless of statements from the Israeli occupation forces of a lack of victory, "Israel" continues its genocidal assault on Gaza, committing massacres daily.
The Government Media Office in Gaza stated that "Israel" committed a horrendous massacre during the early hours of Saturday at the al-Tabieen school in Gaza City, killing over 100 Palestinians and wounding dozens of others.
"Due to the enormity of the massacre and the rising number of victims, medical and civil defense teams have not yet been able to retrieve all the bodies," it said in a statement.
The media office held both "Israel" and the US administration responsible, pointing out that the Israeli occupation army launched a direct attack on the school, where many displaced individuals who had sought refuge were performing morning prayers, which led to a massive number of martyrs.
The media office added that more than 300 people were present at the time of the Israeli bombing.
It condemned this "horrific massacre in the strongest terms and [called] on the entire world to condemn it." The government office also demanded that the international community and international organizations put pressure on the occupation to stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.
