The chief of Hamas' political bureau Martyr Yahya Sinwar spent his life defending his people and forcing the enemies off their land, the speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stated on Sunday.

Speaking at a public session of the Iranian Shura Council, Ghalibaf reiterated that "Hamas will remain alive after Sinwar's martyrdom, and the struggle will continue."

He emphasized that the planning and execution of the intricate Operation Al-Aqsa Flood stands as one of Sinwar's most heroic achievements, fundamentally reshaping the security, military, and political landscape for the Israeli regime in the region. This operation has dealt a significant blow to "this cancerous entity that cannot be overcome."

Ghalibaf also emphasized that "the image of Sinwar's struggle until his very last moment will inspire hundreds of fighters to follow his path and that of martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, accelerating the liberation of holy occupied al-Quds."

On Friday, Hamas announced that its Gaza leader and Political Bureau Chief Yahya Sinwar was martyred on the frontlines of his masterpiece, Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, against the Israeli enemy.

Sinwar, contrary to the Israeli claims that he was hiding in tunnels and using captives as human shields, was in a house with several other fighters, himself donning military attire, including a vest, grenades, ammunition, and an assault rifle.

According to a source within the Resistance movement Hamas, although Sinwar was advised to remain off the battlefield after being appointed the chief of Hamas' Political Bureau, the leader rejected the proposition and insisted on resisting, fighting, and dying on the frontlines.

"He did not want to stay out of the battlefield, he wanted to die in battle. He had been fighting against Israel in Rafah for 18 days and was engaging in a battle with four comrades on the day of his death, a battle that lasted about two hours," the source said.
