1000+ demonstrators in Prague demand a ceasefire in Gaza
The protest, whose starting point was at the Namesti Miru, was organized by pro-Palestinian groups. As they marched through the city, over a thousand people joined the march.
More than a thousand protesters took to the streets of Prague to demonstrate against the Czech government's support for "Israel" amid the occupation's bloody genocide in Gaza.
The protest, whose starting point was at the Namesti Miru, was organized by pro-Palestinian groups. As they marched through the city, over a thousand people had joined the march.
The main demand was for a ceasefire in Gaza to halt Israeli aggression that has killed almost 25,000 Palestinian martyrs.
“We are asking for a cease-fire because this is a foundation for a lasting peace, we must first have a cease-fire before we can discuss lasting peace at all,” said Kara Clarkson, a protester, in a statement to Turkish news outlet Andalou. She also addressed other European nations and citizens and encouraged them to mobilize for a ceasefire.
Demands also included that the Czech government stop its support of the occupation's military conduct, which is being executed on civilians, most of whom are women and children.
The pro-Palestinian protest was the largest Czech has seen since "Israel" launched its deadliest offensive in Gaza, signifying a paradigm shift in a country considered to be "Israel's voice in Europe".
In response, Czech authorities deployed police forces to dismantle the protest.

With no end in sight to war on Gaza, worldwide protests resume
Pro-Palestinian protests were ignited in other parts of the world as the Israeli genocide drags on, in an attempt to impose pressure on the international community.
Mass pro-Palestine rallies have resumed on the streets of Yemen and Jordan's cities as the onslaught on Gaza continues.
On Friday, Yemenis in Sanaa demonstrated public support for the Palestinian cause in solidarity with the Gazan people, while blasting Washington's continued support of the Israeli occupation and their crimes.
Amman saw similar protests where young protesters demanded a ceasefire and blasted the UK government for its continued arms exports to the Israeli occupation.
Similar demonstrations took place in Melbourne, Australia, The Hague, the Netherlands, and Des Moines, Iowa, in the United States.
