US aircraft carrier heads to 'Israel'
Given the intensifying situation in Occupied Palestine, threatening Israeli existence and power, the Israeli command announced that it has increased intelligence and operational coordination with the US Central Command (US CENTCOM).
In a statement, the US CENTCOM noted on October 8 that "the United States has begun moving USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group to the Eastern Mediterranean."
According to the statement, this included "the US Navy aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60), as well as the Arleigh-Burke-class guided missile destroyers USS Thomas Hudner (DDG 116), USS Ramage (DDG 61), USS Carney (DDG 64), and USS Roosevelt (DDG 80)."
Moreover, CENTCOM highlighted that it has mobilized equipment and machines deployed in military bases near "Israel" to "augment US Air Force F-15, F-16, and A-10 fighter aircraft squadrons in the region," reaffirming that Washington "maintains ready forces globally to further reinforce this posture if required."
