"Zim" Israeli company ship was prevented from unloading in Oakland.
Demonstrations in solidarity with Palestinian rights succeeded in preventing a cargo ship belonging to the Israeli company "Zim" from unloading its cargo in the American port of Oakland and prompted it to leave.
The local NBC network reported that around 1,000 demonstrators succeeded in pushing the ship to sail away from the port after the American Dock Workers Union expressed broad solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
The network quoted the president of the American union saying that the workers decided to close the loading dock to prevent the cargo from unloading.
This is not the first time that pressure groups against the Israeli occupation in the United States succeed in jeopardizing Zionist commercial activities.
A campaign was organized last month by the "Black the Boat" group that prevented an Israeli ship from unloading in the port of Oackland.
The port workers stood in solidarity and successfully prevented the Israeli ship from unloading.
This was preceded by a call from the General Federation of Palestinian Trade Unions, in which it demanded the Israeli ships be prevented from loading and unloading in American ports.
