Israel Hayom said that "the new government accomplished its mission," noting that "no one will feel sorry for it if it dissolves."
The Israeli newspaper confirmed that the government is "legal, but almost illegitimate," indicating that it cannot be named names that previous governments were called, like "elected government." It indicated that this government was not elected in any way, and it is based on deception.
Israel Hayom added, "Supporters of the new government lower expectations of its performance and admit with a full mouth that all coalition agreements, baselines, ranks, and jobs are prepared for one goal that was accomplished yesterday and on a large scale: removing Netanyahu."
It continued, saying, "Practically, for a large part of supporters of the new government and apparently also for some of its new ministers, the government and PM have done their job, and no one will feel sorry for it if it gets dissolved."
It warned that a government that started its way with the support of 60 MKs does not bode well, describing it as an "unstable and paralyzed" government.
The newspaper also said, "Most of the government ministers who were sworn in yesterday not only do not agree with the opinion of the prime minister they appointed, but they do not appreciate it. In their eyes, he is nothing more than a useful puppet to achieve their goal, which was achieved yesterday."
United States President Joe Biden congratulated new Israeli PM Naftali Bennett, as a White House readout of the two parties' call said, "[Biden] expressed his firm intent to deepen cooperation between the United States and Israel on the many challenges and opportunities facing the region."
Israeli media reported that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke with President Biden, thanked him for congratulating him on his appointment as PM and for his "long-term commitment to the State of Israel and its security."
