The institutions of Abu Deis call for a general strike on Thursday following the martyrdom of Mai Afana who was fatally shot and left to bleed by the occupation forces at the Hizma checkpoint.

Young Palestinian boy Ahmad Banishamseh died affected by the wounds he sustained after the occupation forces shot him in the head while they were suppressing civilian activity against settlement.
Ahmad Banishamseh is the 4th martyr in Beita during the past month alone, where citizens of the town are organizing daily demonstrations in protest of the Israeli authorities building a settlement on Sbeih Mountain.

The institutions of the town of Abu Deis in occupied Jerusalem called for a general strike today, in mourning for the young woman, Mai Afana, who was shot dead Wednesday by the occupation soldiers at the Hizma checkpoint.
On Wednesday, a massive march took to the streets from the center of the town towards the al-Jabal military camp to protest against the occupation's crimes.
Some young men also responded with firecrackers to the occupation soldiers in the towns of Abu Deis and Silwan.

Confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces in Silwan
Clashes also erupted near the northern checkpoint of Qalqilya between Palestinian youths and the occupation forces, who fired live bullets and tear gas canisters.
Scores of Palestinians participated in a protest against the occupation forces blocking the entrances to Azzun east of Qalqilya, where participants raised Palestinian flags and signs condemning the settlement, demanding that the forces open the town's enterances.
