Yemeni Armed Forces down American Spy Plane with SAM
The Yemeni armed forces brought down a US "Scan Eagle" spy plane while it flew over the city of Ma'rib.
The spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that the Yemeni air defenses managed to shoot down an American spy plane, "Scan Eagle", with a surface-to-air missile, while it was "carrying out hostile acts" in the airspace of the Al-Mushajah area in the Serwah district of Ma'rib governorate.
Saree pointed out that the military media lens documented the operation, and that the scenes of the targeting and the wreckage of the plane will be broadcast at a later time.
"The armed forces affirm that they will spare no effort in carrying out their responsibilities in protecting the Yemeni airspace and confronting all hostilities," he added.
