Israeli i2news reports that the Israeli occupation forces Chief of General Staff Aviv Kochavi discussed during his meeting with the Americans the growing strength of Hezbollah in terms of missiles.
Israeli i24news reported Tuesday that the Chief of General Staff of the IOF, Aviv Kochavi, touched on 'security threats' that 'Israel' faces in the region with United States officials.
Kochavi said, "[The United States and 'Israel'] will continue to work together against common threats in the Middle East," adding on the second day of his visit that "Cooperation between the [US and Israeli] armies is a multiplier of power and mutual interest that has been growing in recent years."
The Israeli site reported that the agenda "included the situation in Gaza, the threat from the Iran nuclear program and replenishing Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system."
According to i24news, the Chief of Staff reviewed the issue of the nuclear agreement, "which will allow Iran to significantly advance in the coming years in terms of centrifuges size and the quality and quantity of enriched materials," stressing the absence of monitoring over the development of nuclear weapons.
Additionally, during the Pentagon meeting, Kochavi explained the Israeli position on returning to the original JCPOA is that it is 'dangerous,' adding that "every effort should be made to prevent Iran from acquiring military nuclear capabilities."
The same site said that during the meeting, the 'issue' of Hezbollah's growing missile capabilities was brought up and the challenges and responses posed on the Palestinian arena, especially in the Gaza Strip.
In addition, Kohavi presented his hosts with the operations carried out by the Israeli army during the last military operation in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, the Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi traveled on an "important business trip" to the United States for a 6-day visit, with Iran and Gaza on the agenda.
