The families of Palestinian prisoners put together a sit-in in front of the Red Cross headquarters in the city of Al-Bireh in the West Bank, demanding the release of their prisoners, especially the hunger strikers, namely Ghazanfar Abu Atwan, Sheikh Khader Adnan, and Sheikh Jamal Al-Taweel.
Al-Mayadeen's correspondent had reported, quoting medical sources, that an officer in the Palestinian security apparatus was martyred after settlers attacked him near Nablus.
The Palestinian Red Crescent also announced that 20 Palestinians were injured during their response to the Israeli occupation forces' attack on the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.
For the past 20 days, the leading prisoner of Hamas movement Jamal Al-Taweel from Ramallah has been on an open-ended hunger strike, protesting the occupation's decision to arrest his daughter for several months.
The leader of the Islamic Jihad movement, Sheikh Khader Adnan, has also continued his open hunger strike, since the beginning of this month, according to what his family announced.
