The President of the Academy of Medical Sciences in Iran, Ali Reza Marandi, said that Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei "will soon receive the first dose of the Iranian vaccine."
Marandi also stated that "Sayyed Khamenei will receive the vaccine within the next few days", adding that "Iranian Leader stipulated that the vaccine must be Iranian and that he should not be given any preference outside the waiting list."
Iranian Leader "refused to take foreign vaccines, even those which were manufactured by Iran's allies," according to Marandi.
On his part, Iranian Deputy Health Minister Alireza Rayeesi declared that the country's target population would be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus (March 20, 2022).
Furthermore, the director of Iran's Pastor Institute, Ali Reza Bekleri, affirms that the new local Corona vaccine is effective in a wide range of age groups, from 18 to 90 years old, and that Iranian vaccinations will be sold in international markets.
Bekleri said that Iranian vaccines would acquire a significant share in global markets, referring to a plan to export the Iranian vaccine against Corona.
He continued, "Given the institution's past in the manufacture of vaccines, its effects have been proven at the levels of safety, security, effectiveness, and impact in combating new variants of the Coronavirus, which paves the way for its entry into global markets."
