Sayyed Ali Khamenei praises Raisi during Beheshti Commemoration
During the commemoration ceremony of Dr. Beheshti and 72 supporters of the revolution, and the advent of Judiciary Week, Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei commends Sayyed Raisi for his efforts as Chief Justice.
Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei said that "we must commend Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi for his tireless efforts during the two years and a bit more in which he was Chief Justice of Iran."
Sayyed Khamenei received Monday the chief and officials of the judiciary in Imam Khomeini's Hosseiniya, during the commemoration ceremony of the martyrdom of Dr. Beheshti, and the beginning of Judiciary Week.
He added, during the meeting with the head of the judiciary and a number of officials in the judiciary, that "Raisi was a prominent example of the jihadist movement that we always advocate, which is working day and night to achieve a good result," noting that he "revived the people's hope for the judiciary, and this matter is a great social wealth for the country."
He also underscored that some European countries "offer asylum to the perpetrators of the 1981 bombing of Iran's office in Tehran, but brazenly claim to defend human rights."
It is noteworthy that Sayyed Mohammad Beheshti and 72 of the revolutionaries were martyred during the bombing of the headquarters of the Islamic Republican Party in Tehran on June 28, 1981, by the People's Mujahedin of Iran, classified as a terrorist organization in Iran.
Iran officially announced Saturday Ebrahim Raisi's victory in the presidential elections, reporting that the turnout in the presidential elections amounted to 48.8%.
President-elect Ebrahim Raisi received congratulatory messages from presidents and officials worldwide calling on him to consolidate relations and develop bilateral cooperation.
