Khatibzadeh: Iran-Afghanistan Border is Peaceful and Secure

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh, stated today, Friday, in response to a question about the situation on the border with Afghanistan, that "there is no insecurity on our border with Afghanistan, thanks to our diligent border guards."
He added, "due to the recent clash at the customs office of Islam Qala and Abu Nasr Farahi, inside Afghanistan, several Afghan Employees crossed the border and entered Iran."
Khatibzadeh affirmed: "the Islamic Republic of Iran will abide by laws and regulations to take the necessary measures, following the border agreements with Afghanistan, to highlight good neighborliness."
The Assistant Brigadier Commander of the Iranian ground forces, Farhad Arianfar, assured that "the Eastern border is fully secured, and we are monitoring the slightest movement near the border."
He noted in a statement, on the sidelines of a visit to the army units deployed to the southeastern border of the country, on Friday, that Iranian forces are ready and prepared.
