Israeli Media: "The collapse in Lebanon will set the country back 100 years"

Several articles and headlines have appeared in the Israeli press today, spreading fear from the repercussions of the Lebanese crisis and the absence of a government in the country because - according to these articles - that would give Hezbollah a greater role within the country. It will apparently also lead Russia and China to enter Lebanon, which would deny "Israel" of having more control over what is happening there, thus it must prepare an urgent work strategy and swiftly, firmly, and cautiously implement it.

In this regard, the Israeli website "Mida" wrote an article discussing the "impact of the Lebanese crisis on Israel."

The article said, "The Lebanese collapse process is setting Lebanon back 100 years, and it is not only an economic collapse. If we go back to the roots of the crisis, any wrong reforms could lead to grave dangers to Israel."

The site indicated that "lately, Israel offered aid through the UNIFIL, but a situation in which [Hezbollah Secretary-General] Hassan Nasrallah allows assistance from "Israel," and in which it takes the spotlight from him, is closer to fiction."

It added, "At a time when the new US administration withdraws from almost any issue that is not directly related to reviving the US economy and fighting the Coronavirus pandemic, it seems that someone will lead the process of restoring stability to the scattered country as mentioned above. There is no place in the Middle East for a long-term vacuum. That's how China and Russia entered the Lebanese playing field and offered Lebanon great investments, such as the reconstruction of seaports, the establishment of oil refineries, and the construction of power grids."

The article also said, "A situation such as this one would deprive "Israel" of having more control over what is happening in Lebanon, for the situation is already complicated without Russia and China being in the country, especially in light of the weak Israeli government receiving instructions from the US administration."

The Israeli article concluded with the following recommendation, "For this reason, "Israel" must formulate an action strategy quickly, and implement it swiftly, firmly, and cautiously."
